IFIR expresses sorrow to the people of Orlando
The International Federation of Iraqi Refugees offers its sincere condolences to the people of Orlando following the attack on an LGBT night club earlier in the week. We stand shoulder to shoulder in solidarity with the victims and their families following this shocking terrorist attack.
This homophobic attack targeting a gay nightclub echoes sadly the terrorist attacks in France upon young people whose only crime was enjoying a night out. We stand in solidarity with all victims of terrorism whatever their sexuality or colour.
Terrorism is an international condition in the development of political Islam, a policy and strategy which this movement has resorted to in an attempt to redistribute the balance of power.
Civilised humanity of today must have the ability to confront it. It is a time for the civilised world and freedom loving and progressive movements to stand against evils, hardships and tragedies, against the state and non-state terrorism.
The International Federation of Iraqi Refugees-IFIR joins progressive voices and all freedom loving people in the world against terrorism and the ending of all terrorist acts in the world
