IFIR invites you to hear Bahar Munzir Wednesday 15 March 6pm-9pm Room 804, Institute of Education Bahar will be discussing the plight of Yazedi women who have escaped ISIS. She will also talk about the many women and children refugees displaced from Mosul.

24th February 2017. A new offensive to retake the western part of Mosul from ISIS has started. This follows a formal announcement of the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on 19 February.

17th February 2017 Child marriage dramatically increased among Internally Displaced Persons in Kurdistan Iraq following the ISIS attack on Mosul and the eastern region of Iraq in 2014.

Wedat Hussein who was only 28 was murdered Saturday 13 August. Wadat was kidnapped and killed.  His body was found in Sejey, in the Semell district of Duhok city.
