{"id":389,"date":"2016-11-06T20:35:31","date_gmt":"2016-11-06T20:35:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.federationifir.com\/en\/?p=389"},"modified":"2016-11-06T20:36:18","modified_gmt":"2016-11-06T20:36:18","slug":"workers-representatives-jobs-forcibly-moved-because-they-continue-to-strike","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.federationifir.com\/en\/2016\/11\/06\/workers-representatives-jobs-forcibly-moved-because-they-continue-to-strike\/","title":{"rendered":"Workers representative\u2019s jobs forcibly moved because they continue to strike"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In Sulaimaniya Iraqi Kurdistan, 850 workers from Tax collection offices have been striking alongside thousands worker all over the governor for 2 months because the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) refused to pay Government workers wages for several months.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">At the last meeting between the representatives of workers and the office managers.\u00a0 The Managers threatened the workers by calling the security forces and detained the worker\u2019s representatives for 3 hours.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The representatives proposed, going back to work on the condition that the managers pay the workers\u2019 wages from the collected tax incomes and send the rest to the Tax office, otherwise the strike will continue. This proposal was interpreted as a threat by the KRG from the striking workers, so the Tax office managers decided to move 6 to\u00a014 of the workers\u2019 representatives from Sulaimaniya to the Dohok governor.
