Assan\u00a0<\/span>Yaba<\/span>\u00a0Assan from Mosul\u00a0<\/span>was not deported yesterday<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0Following IFIR\u2019s appeal on the 5 May for people to call Turkish airlines demanding that they do not deport Assan.\u00a0 Assan\u2019s 6 May deportation ticket was cancelled.\u00a0 IFIR would like to thank everyone who called Turkish airlines wi<\/span>th special thanks to Corporate W<\/span>atch and all organisations\u00a0<\/span>and individuals\u00a0<\/span>who published our appeal.<\/span>\u00a0However Assan is still held in Colnbrook Detention centre with many other Iraqi\u2019s.\u00a0 Four of whom have been given Turkish airline tickets to be deported in May.<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0Dashty<\/span>\u00a0Jamal Secretary of IFIR \u201cThank you for your support. \u00a0 We ask that you continue to look out for further appeals for those threatened with deportation, until the shameful agreement between Iraq and the UK to deport people back to Iraq is abolished. Only yesterday America and their allies again bombarded a school killing more than 8 civilians, injuring many more.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0Leading to the displacement of many more people in Mosul.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0Annmarie\u00a0<\/span>Doksani<\/span>\u00a0Assan\u2019s partner said IFIR \u201cMany thanks to all supporters.\u00a0 On the night of the 5<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0I couldn\u2019t sleep or eat I was so stressed.\u00a0 I however still need your help to ensure Assan is released\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

in<\/span>\u00a0a good way, I’m not eating or sleeping, I have lost a lot of weight since he was detained also self-harming, because he’s my everything. I ask from the bottom of my heart to please help me and stop the deportation.<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n
