IFIR-Eng The International Federation of Iraqi Refugees
On Wednesday 21/02/2019, at Nine o’clock a delegation of IFIR visited the Governor of Sulaimani Dr. Haval Abubakir in his office. The Delegation consisted of the IFIR secretary Dashty Jamal, member of the IFIR secretariat Aso Goran, the Representative of IFIR in Kurdistan Amanj Abdullah and the office manager of IFIR in Kurdistan Hawzhin Muhammad.
A number of issues regarding the life of the Kurdish refugees overseas, the difficulties facing them including the dangerous way of fleeing across the sea, the problem of closing the borders were discussed. Moreover, the IFIR effort to help the deportees, the women and children who have been left alone after their deportations, reaching out hands to those deportees who suffer from psychological disorders and the displaced people within Iraq was a part of the discussions too.
Apart from recognizing the efforts of IFIR in the last years, Dr. Haval Abubakir expressed his readiness to support the works of IFIR, help by all the mentioned issues above and facilitate the transportation of the humanitarian aids to the displaced people.
