On Friday 23rd of December a gunman killed 3 people and injured many more outside a Kurdish Cultural Centre in Paris. The man who was 69 years old was known to the police, as 12 months ago he attacked a refugee camp with a sword. The man was unfortunately released several days ago without being charged and went on to commit this horrible attack.

IFIR strongly condemns these attacks and holds the French authorities responsible for the safety and security of the Kurdish community. Further to this we condemn the French authorities for releasing the gunman. IFIR demands that the murderer is brought to justice by the French authorities.
Dashty Jamal Secretary of IFIR said we must not let this racist attack divide us. The working class and freedom loving people of France must stand with Kurdish people against this horrible racist attack.
IFIR sends its condolences to the families of the victims and wishes well to all those injured in this horrendous attack.
