We strongly condemn all violence whether carried out by states, armed groups, or individuals. No cause justifies the targeting of innocent people. But violence abroad must never be used as an excuse for antisemitism or hate crimes here in the UK.
We reject any attempt to import international conflicts into our communities. The fight for justice must be based on solidarity, human rights, and international law not hatred on our own streets.
Today, we send our heartfelt sympathy and solidarity to Manchester’s Jewish community. Tomorrow, we commit to working side by side, united against all forms of racism and extremism, for a society where everyone regardless of faith, background, or nationality – is safe, valued, and treated with dignity.
