11 August IFIR press release: Desecration of Kurdish Journalist Sardasht Osman’s Grave

On the 9 August Sardasht Osman’s parents after attending a family friends funeral, visited their son’s Sardasht Osman’s grave. The sight that met them would shock any parent. Sardasht’s grave and headstone stone had been smashed to pieces. This was particularly hurtful to Sardaht’s parents as it echoed the violent murder of their 23 year old son in May 2010.
The Home Office are responsible for the death of Rawand Muhammad Ali and Awat Ahmad.

On Tuesday 16th May Awat Ahmad, a Kurdish asylum seeker, lost his life at his work place for unknown reasons. The place of his death is still closed and Awat’s body was being kept at St. George’s hospital in London and later through the help of IFIR their bodies have been sent back to their families in Kurdistan.
Awat was 29 years old. According to his cousin, he came to the UK as a refugee in 2006 when he was under 18, and was granted temporary permission to stay. However, after he came of age his permission was not renewed and he remained in the country without official “leave to remain”.

On world refugee day, 20-06-2017, we call on all freedom loving people and organisations defending the rights of refugees to stand up against the terrible conditions that refugees face are facing across Europe. Let us look at the factors causing people to flee their homes and become refugees. Today’s world which is swinging between war, Islamic terrorism and international terrorism has created a state of fear and feeling of insecurity across the world. The fundamentalism of these two forces has barbarically touched the lives of millions of innocent people.

Haram Kalaf is currently being held in a vans at Heathrow airport awaiting being put on a Royal Jordanian Airline flight via Amen to Bahgdad.. The flight is scheduled to leave at five pm today.
Haram is from Kirkuk and has been living in the UK for 10 years. Haram’s partner is three months pregnant.
Last night once again Islamic Terrorists blinded by hate and prejudice have carried out a horrific attack on the people of London killing 7 people and injuring a further 50 people. This is the third terror attack to happen in the UK in the last three months.

Rekawt Omar from Kirkuk has been living in the UK for 8 years.
